Santiam Spokes is a recreational bicycling club for cyclists of all ages and abilities.
We look after each other on rides and try to be sure that everyone is fun. We welcome new and experienced riders. Regularly we offer a "Discovering Bicycling" class that helps you get off the sofa and into the fun of cycling.
We have special rides that take us to wineries or cemeteries, on ferries or overnight campouts. Some rides are up steep hills, while others are leisurely jaunts over flat farmland. But mostly, our rides are moderate and enjoyable, traveling the many breathtaking routes we have mapped through the scenic Willamette Valley.
Since 1992, we have coordinated the annual Strawberry Century charity bicycle ride that kicks off the summer cycling season. In 2017, our event earned ORBike.com's prestigious "Best Bike Ride in Oregon" award, and we're certain it isn't only because of the heaping portion of Strawberry Shortcake each participant receives at the finish line.
We also help our local community by conducting bicycling clinics for children, donating helmets and other safety gear, and by helping promote other healthy, sustainable recreational actives throughout the greater Linn County area.

Our club meetings are held monthly on the first Thursday of each month at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. You can keep up to date with club happenings and meeting minutes by reading our monthly Newsletter, or subscribing to our club email list.
